Buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Seattle, King Co., WA. She is the daughter of Adam F. Schliesman of Cambria, Columbia Co., WI, and Mary Elizabeth "May" McNerney of Lowville Twp., Columbia Co., WI. Adam was married November 15, 1892, in Columbia Co., WI.

Carrie Marie Dew (age 20) and Robert T. Lombardo (Born October 9, 1915, in Chicago, Cook Co., IL; Died November 7, 1971, in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR, at age 56. (age 30, U. S. Army) were married September 30, 1947, in Seattle, King Co., WA. Carrie asked for a divorce from Keith in July 1954 based upon cruelty. Robert is buried in Willamette National Cemetery. Pauline Dew and Richard Wikoff were married September 3, 1947, in Seattle, King Co., WA. Robert T. Lombardo and Carrie M. Dew were witnesses. Pauline was separated from her husband when she died from a fall from a second story window of the Earl Hotel, Seattle, on June 13, 1950. died in June 1950. She had a brother, Clifford L. Dew Jr. Carrie Maree Lovos, married to Daniel Cyrus "Dan" Lovos (Born February 1, 1920, in Kern Co., CA; Died July 15, 1999, in Unknown), died at her home, was a cocktail waitress, and came to Seattle from Los Angeles in 1945. Services Held For Clayton Freeberg

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 o'clock for Clayton Freeberg, 6-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Freeberg, 9742 42nd Ave. S. W., at the chapel of Daniels & Brinton. The sermon was preached by the Rev. Mr. Burgess of the Fauntleroy Church and interment was made in Forest Lawn Cemetery. He died Friday, November 9. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Dolores and Lucille, and three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and Aaron.

Hit-and-Run Driver Surrenders to Count

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, May 21.  - Donald Freeberg, 35, of Spenard surrendered to the U. S. district attorney Wednesday and was charged with two counts in connection with the hit-run death May 12 of Seymour C. Mortrude. He was released under bail of $2,000. Freeberg went to Atty. George Grigsby, who took him to the U. S. attorney. He said his auto struck Mortrude unavoidably and he became panicky, failing to report to police as he had intended .

Kenneth, Aaron and Donald "Don" Freeberg served in WWII. Donald "Don" Freeberg was in the army air force as an airplane mechanic. His entire duty was in the States. Aaron Freeberg was (from late 1942) in the submarine division. Kenneth Freeberg, who Per Carlzon met the summer of 2006, served in the navy from February 1941 until autumn 1945.

Lucille Young in Seattle says her grandfather, Sven, and Leigh Larson's ancestor, Olaus, were brothers. Per Carlzon met Lucille and her husband Brad II and some of their descendants in the summer of 2006. Don and his wife Mernie provided transportation. Joseph Emanuel Freeberg was the first of Sven and Hilda's children to be born in United States. Three (Alma, Oscar and Albert) were born in Sweden. Joseph Freeberg started to work at the railway in Miles City, Montana, and then later moved to Seattle where he was a mailman. During WWII Joseph Freeberg had other assignments. Lucille writes "Our father was a civil defense captain, on one of his many nightly? (1944) he collapsed and fell to the ground. His fellow wardens called for an ambulance and he was taken to the hospital. He died that night. My father was a very active and patriotic man. He was president of the local community club, an officer in the Letter Carrier's Association, a civil defense captain and a volunteer fireman for the local district and then of course he worried about the 3 boys in the service."

Dolores enjoyed life and a Memorial Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29 at the McKee Club Room 10042 Main Street, Bellevue, WA. Kenneth Garvin Freeberg, 87, was one of the last remaining Pearl Harbor Survivors in the Kitsap area. He peacefully passed away after a brief two-week illness of a fastgrowing liver cancer. He died on June 26th, a beautiful Sunday morning with his family surrounding him. Kenny was born to Joseph and Florence (Schliesman) Freeberg on October 14, 1923. He was raised in Seattle with his brothers and sisters. At the age of 17 he entered the Navy and served 5 years which included the bombing of Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. Kenny married Marie Forland in 1951. They resided all of their 60 year marriage in Kitsap County. He built their beautiful home on the Hood Canal which they lived in for 40 years before living this last year at Crista Shores. Kenny worked 38 years for Pacific Northwest Bell. Kenny enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed many friendships, he never met a person who didn't become his friend. Kenny had a special love of dogs, he had many over his lifetime. Kenny was noted for his big beautiful smile and striking good looks. Kenny enjoyed finding treasures at garage sales, he loved the old-time electronic items and phones. Kenny was known for his love of fixing things with duct tape and always having cough drops in his pockets and snacking on black licorice. The highlight of Kenny's life was when his son Shawn was born in 1965. Kenny and Marie received a call from the doctor announcing the good news that there was a baby boy to bring home and love. Shawn blessed them with their only grandchild, Shelby Marie, in 2001. Kenny is survived by his wife Marie, his son Shawn, granddaughter Shelby, daughter-in-law Cheryl and her children. He is survived by his brother Aaron Freeberg (wife Cora Jean), sister Lucille Young (husband Brad), sister June Jochum (husband Leo), brother James Freeberg (wife Joanne), and his many nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded in death by his brothers Don and Clayton Freeberg, and his sister Delores Snow. Lucille Freeberg Young, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on May 12th 2014 at the age of 87. Lucille was born in the house her father built in Arbor Heights, West Seattle and was the daughter of Joseph and Florence Freeberg. She attended Fauntleroy Elementary then West Seattle High School before attending the University of Washington and then working at Seattle Trust and Savings Bank. While in college, she met her lifelong sweetheart, Bradley, and after their marriage in 1952 lived on a houseboat in Portage Bay. As children came, they moved to Lake City where she mothered four children, and later became a favorite person of immense influence to all of her 16 grandchildren, and more recently six great-grandchildren. Lucille, (known also as Louie to her siblings and old friends, and affectionately just "Ceel" to her children) was the perfect mom with commitments as a Sunday School teacher, room mother and PTA President at Olympic Hills Elementary, leader for Blue Birds and Campfire Girls and the driver for events from those busy years in raising her children. She was dearly loved by her family, and greatly adored by her grandchildren. As everybody's friend, she was always an eager and magnificent hostess, with an unfading smile, and a fabulous sense of humor, she will be missed sorely by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by husband Bradley, brothers Aaron (Cora) Freeberg and James (Joann) Freeberg, sister June (Leo) Jochum, children Jaime (Norm) Cornutt, Florence Woodbrook, Bradley (Roberta) and Martin (Jenny) Young. Longtime Lewiston resident Joseph Aaron Freeberg, 90, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015. Aaron was born in Arbor Heights, West Seattle, and was the son of Joseph and Florence (Schliesman) Freeberg. He grew up there with three brothers and three sisters. Aaron served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the submarines USS Guardfish (SS-217) and the USS Trutta (SS-421), where he was assigned to the torpedoes. After the war he worked various jobs, including being a deckhand on a tugboat in Puget Sound. His job with Western Electric Co. took him to Spokane, where he met his wife, Cora Jean Rogers. They were married in 1951. His job next took him and his wife to Lewiston, where he built their house. They lived there for 60 years, raising three children. Aaron retired after a 44-year career that began with Western Electric Co. and evolved into what was U.S. West Communications at the time of his retirement. Forty of those years were spent as a communications technician in Lewiston, where he maintained the remote long-distance calling stations from Pomeroy and Colfax to Grangeville and Lewiston. After retirement, he enjoyed his daily long walks on the dike along the Snake River. In the evenings he would relax with his crossword puzzles and many games of solitaire. In 2014, Aaron and Cora left their family home in Lewiston and moved to the Seattle area to be near family, where they recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. He is survived by wife Cora Jean; and children Diane Freeberg, Clay (Bertie) Freeberg and Marilyn (Barry) Larsen; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by brother James (Joann) Freeberg; sister June (Leo) Jochum; brother-in-law Bradley Young; and sister-in-law Marie Freeberg. He was preceded in death by brothers Donald and Kenneth Freeberg; and sisters Dolores "Dodie" Snow and Lucille Young. A memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced by the family. Bradley "Brad" Young, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2017 at the age of 91. Bradley was born in Seattle and grew up in Spokane, WA. He was Student Body President of Lewis and Clark High School and valedictorian in 1944. He developed a love for playing piano, learned to play by ear and took lessons from radio station staff musicians. He formed his own high school dance band with friends. In 1944 he was accepted into the Navy's V-12 program for Officers Training at Willamette University and completed his NROTC training at the UW, eventually reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserve. At the UW he graduated with degrees in Journalism and Law, was a member of Alpha Tau Omega and won the light heavy weight boxing title in 1947. He continued with his piano playing and became a member of the Nautical Knaves dance band until the war ended. He married his lifelong love, Lucille Freeberg, in 1952 and they raised four children, while he worked at Sears. His family life was rich and full and he enjoyed teaching his children show tunes and performing. He was always ready for a party, and his home was a place of hospitality for many. As a professional pianist he continued to perform regularly into his eighties, including many years at the Seattle Center for senior dances and the annual Winterfest event. He leaves behind his sister Jaime "Patsy" Lufkin, daughters Jaime (Norm) Cornutt, Florence Woodbrook, sons Bradley (Roberta) Young III and Martin (Jenny) Young, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Lucille, his brother Charles Bayard, sisters Esther (Nelson), Lillian (Rogers), Laurel (Danforth) as well as one grandson and one great-grandson. His legacy was love and music and he will be very much missed by all of the family. Leo Anthony Jochum, the son of Leo and Rose (Rotert) Jochum, was born May 26, 1927, on the family farm west of Raeville, Nebraska.  Leo entered into the arms of Our Lord and Savior surrounded by his wife of 64 years and nine of his ten children, on January 12, 2019, at his home.  His daughter Janet preceded him 29 years earlier. Leo was baptized and confirmed at St. Bonaventure Church in Raeville.  He attended school at District 16, Sunny Side School, and St. Bonaventure in Raeville. Leo joined the army in 1950 and served in the Korean War.  When he returned home, he worked as a barber, firefighter, bowling alley owner, and, later, when he moved his family to Norfolk, he worked at Norco Feed Mill as a Regional Sales Manager.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren; however, he was not fond of barking dogs�well, really, any dog. Leo married June Freeberg on April 2, 1954, in Seattle, Washington, and together they raised ten children. Survivors include his wife June, children Laurie (Tom) Abler of Norfolk, Jeff Jochum of Norfolk, Nancy Jochum-Schramm (Brad Jones) of Wayne, Reed (Wendy) Jochum of Boise, Idaho, Joan (Scott) Stutesman of Pawnee City, June Jochum of Norfolk, Ed (Paula) Jochum of Sioux City, Iowa, Brian (Ana) Jochum of Woodland Hills, California, Stephanie (Rick) Zoubek of Norfolk.  He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a brother Darrell (Lynn) Jochum of St. Joseph, Missouri.
